Public Relations & Community Manager
Two Hundred Doors is the lead distributor for Dermalogica and The Beauty Chef products in NZ, as well as founding Skintopia. We have an exciting opportunity for a Public Relations & Community Manager to join the dynamic team in Rosedale, Auckland. As a key member of the Marketing team, you will be responsible for managing the company's public relations and community engagement initiatives, playing a vital role in enhancing our brand reputation, generate media coverage and drive sales.Â

The role
Duties will include:
- Develop and execute public relations and social media strategies that align with the company's overall marketing goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, influencers, key opinion leaders and industry leaders.
- Secure media coverage for our products and services.
- Create engaging content for social media that will resonate with our target audience.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of PR and social media campaigns.
- Â Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers and other media contacts across various platforms (print, online, broadcast).Â
- Pitch stories and secure media coverage for product launches, company news, and brand initiatives.Â
- Craft compelling press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
- Build, nurture, and engage our community across all touchpoints
- Understanding our community's needs, anticipate their interests, and implement strategies to encourage participation and loyalty, regardless of the channel
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Track expenses and ensure projects are delivered within budget.Â
What we are after:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 2+ years of experience in public relations or social media marketing.
- Strong understanding of the beauty and skincare industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Â Â
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track, measure, and report on the success of PR and community initiatives.
- Passion for the marketing and communications industry and a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience working with influencers or a strong understanding of the influencer landscape.
- Experience with content creation and design.
- Proficient with social mediaÂ
